Training & Experience

Certified pet bereavement counselor with many years of helping people heal.

Reiki Level 2 healer.

Education

I received my pet bereavement counseling certification from the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement, Inc.

In addition to pet bereavement, I hold a graduate degree in Sociology & an undergraduate degree in Psychology & Biology.

My Personal Journey

My struggle to find a viable and comprehensive support system to nurture my healing from pet loss was unsuccessful.

Sheer luck led to both wonderful as well as quite painful experiences.

After barely remaining afloat during my most recent loss, I felt compelled to provide others with an anchor while they weather the tumultuous storm of pet loss and heal from their pain.

I am here to provide full ranging services to anyone needing support around their pet's death or loss.

Why Pet Bereavement Counseling Matters

There are many of us who love pets and share in the magic of our attachment. In the United States alone, there are 70 million pet dogs & 74.1 million pet cats according to the U.S. Pet Ownership & Demographic Source-book (2012).

Nonetheless, pet loss grief remains a disenfranchised grief-

that is a grief not validated by mainstream society.

The inescapable death of our pets will unavoidably trigger a myriad of responses in us who have powerful attachments to our pets. It is vital to have both practical & emotional support. I offer compassionate guidance and healing through any moment during your pet's illness and death.
